CBD vaginas, beauty and wellness trends have been cemented in this season’s Indie Beauty Expo at Pier 94 in New York.

Taking place on August 21-22, the show showcased a range of independent beauty brands to watch out for. Trends included sleep, K-beauty, vaginal and sexual wellness products and CBD – obviously.

Here are some of the most interesting independent beauty brands found at the Indie Beauty Expo 2019:

Asutra

The wellness brand launched by Stéphanie Morimoto and supported by Venus Williams begins to gain momentum in consumer distribution. Morimoto said more retail partners are interested in the brand’s sleep offerings, which include Chill the Night Away CBD Melatonin Lotion with Magnesium and Pure Soothing Comfort Aromatherapy Mist.

Beigic

This minimalist South Korean brand for skin and hair is all about caffeine. It will launch later this year with Anthropologie, founder Kate Namgung told WWD.

Blessed moon

For those on the go, Blessed Moon makes cylindrical compacts with tiny makeup pans that can be swapped out. The brand is based and manufactures all products in South Korea.

Lady

Dame, certainly one of the most established brands at the Indie Beauty Expo, makes vibrators that don’t look phallic. Their latest products include Alu, an aloe-based lubricant, and Pillo, a machine-washable sex pillow.

Without makeup

Nø Makeup is a $ 40 and under clean skin care brand that is family run and popular in German drugstores. The brand intends to offer skin care so that users do not need to wear makeup. They are not yet distributed in the US market.

Who m

A chic, vagina-centric wellness brand – they use the term “vag-forward” – launched by Cyo Ray Nystrom. Products include CBD and include Happy Clam Everyday Oil, which the brand describes as “an eye cream for your vagina,” and Night Moves Intimate Oil, which is meant to heighten the sensation while being good for vaginal health.

Pure switch 2

This luxury CBD skin care line makes clean, lightly scented products. The range includes Bright & Shine Daily Cleanser, Be Glowy Hyaluronic & CBD Infused Serum, Well & Glow Rejuvenating CBD Oil, and Be Chill CBD Body Scrub.

Wondergloss

A whimsical skincare line, Wondergloss makes products like Makeup Assassin, a makeup remover, Boho Potion Lux Body Oil and several versions of Face Apertif, a hydrating face mist.
